Kayla Hudson has always had a vivid imagination. She found an outlet for that imagination in the form of writing when she was in first grade. Her first grade teacher, Susan Ware, encouraged students to write short stories. Kayla could look at an image and her imagination would take over, weaving a story, which she sometimes put into written words.
It has long been Kayla's dream to become a published author so that her stories can be shared with a broader audience.
Kayla graduated with a degree in Social Sciences from California State University, Chico . . . but writes epic fantasy novels, not historical fiction. She does have plans to put the history degree to use as a secondary level teacher.

As a local of South Lake Tahoe, California, Kayla enjoys everything outdoors, from hiking to skiing to horseback riding. She loves forests and mountains  . . . and dreads large cities. In Kayla's opinion, a snowbound day is the perfect excuse to curl up with a good book in front of a crackling fire or type away at her own stories.
